ββMental Health Week - May 5th to 9th 2025β
βWSD Mental Health Awareness week: Movement: Moving More for Mental Health!
ββBetween May 5-9, students in Western School Division will be invited to participate in various activities or lessons in support of Mental Health Awareness Week. This yearβs theme is Movement: Moving More for Mental Health. The main goals of the week are to promote awareness and understanding of mental health issues, reduce stigma, and encourage students to prioritize their well-being. This could include teaching students about managing emotions, setting goals, and building healthy relationships. Schools also aim to foster a positive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable reaching out for help. By raising awareness and providing resources, Mental Health Week activities can help schools identify and support students who may be struggling with mental health challenges early on.
At MCI, students have the ability to log their activity this week using an online form. If a student completes 30 minutes of activity in a day and completes the form, their name will be entered into a draw for various gift cards throughout the week. Students can enter once per day up to a maximum of 5 enteries for a chance to win! Students can also gain extra entries by completing daily quizzes and participating in various activities over the lunch hour. If students have any questions or need help filling out the forms please stop by room 104 and speak to a Guidance Counsellor.
