A condition of employment for any new employee or person becoming reemployed with Western School Division, is the provision of a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Abuse Registry Check, and agreement by the individual to disclose record information to the Division. Individuals must present these checks and information prior to their first day of work; any service charges incurred to obtain these checks will be the responsibility of the individual.
An individual may obtain a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search from the local police service in the community in which they reside, i.e. town or city police service. Persons living outside a community with a local police service center may obtain their checks from the RCMP.
An individual may obtain a Child Abuse Registry Check by:
