Disciplinary Process

​The principal of a school, whose students are being transported in the school bus, has disciplinary authority over the conduct of the students. misbehaviour on bus will be dealt with as per the following guidelines:

  1. The first time the principal receives a report on a student from the bus driver, the  principal will discuss the matter with the student on the same day it is reported. The principal will inform the student of the action that will be taken if the misbehaviour occurs again.
  2. The second time the principal receives a report on the same student, the principal will speak to the student on the day the report is received. The parent will be contacted by phone followed by a letter informing the parent about the misbehaviour.
  3. If it happens a third time, a two-week suspension from riding on the bus will occur.
  4. The fourth time the principal receives a report from the driver on the same student, the principal will contact the parent by phone and send them a written notice that they will have to provide transportation to the end of the school year, as the student will not be allowed to ride on the bus.

School principals may alter the disciplinary guidelines, as they deem necessary.
