Student Conference Sign-Up is now open. Click to book your appointment.
Student Conferences are coming up on Thursday, November 27th in the evening & Friday, November 28th in the morning. We would like to give you some direction on what that will look like this year. We continue to use the Bookings App through Office365. When you book a conference meeting online, it will automatically go into the teacher’s outlook calendar. Student conferences will be in-person only.
There is a group set up for specialty teachers in Bookings (ex. Principal, Reading Recovery, Phys. Ed., Resource, etc.) for parents to book a meeting during student conferences. Please follow the same instructions as booking with a homeroom teacher, but choose the specialty teacher that you would like to meet from the group called “Specialty Teachers”.
Online booking for Student Involved Conferences will close on Sunday, November 23rd at noon. Something to keep in mind when booking is to make sure your device is in the Central Time Zone (we have had some people book while out of province and it shifts their meeting time to the time zone when it was booked). To ensure that you get as many options to choose from, please sign up as soon as possible. If you choose not to sign up, your child’s homeroom teacher will assign a time that is still available and will be in contact with you.
Steps for booking:
1. Click on the link at the end of this e-mail – this will bring you to all of the grade groups with homeroom teachers listed & specialty teachers
2. Choose which grade group your child is in (you will have to book a separate meeting for each child) and scroll down the page
3. MOST IMPORTANT – Under the “Select Staff” option, please be sure to choose your child’s homeroom teacher as it automatically defaults to ‘ANYONE’
4. Pick an available time either on November 27th or 28th that is listed
5. Add your details of your name & e-mail address (please be sure to enter the e-mail address correctly or you will not receive the confirmation e-mail). If you do not receive a confirmation, please check your junk mail first to see if it is there – if not please e-mail the school at mloff@westernsd.mb.ca or call us at 204-822-4458
6. Fill out the additional information – these fields are mandatory in order for your booking to go through (child’s first & last name)
7. Hit “Book”
Once you hit book, hit “OK” and you will see a confirmation page as well as the options to Reschedule, Cancel or New Booking. If you have more than one child, you are able to hit “New Booking” and it will take you back to the main page and you can follow the same instructions as above to book for another child.
You will get a confirmation e-mail for each online meeting that you book. If you cancel or reschedule a meeting, both the teacher and parent will get a cancellation/rescheduled e-mail to confirm. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, please check your spam/junk folder as some do end up going there rather than to your inbox.
