Approximately 50 parents were on hand for the special viewing of Screenagers last Thursday. The film examined a variety of issues relating to modern technology and the amount of time spent on screens. Topics included:

• Mobile devices in schools..
• Social Media's impact on self esteem.
• Gaming and Internet addiction.
• Violence in gaming.
• Technology use at home.
• School division/district policies on providing devices for everyone and the impact it has had.

While examining these issues, the documentary points to brain development science and other studies in support of the central message that balance in our lives is really important.
