The ÉMMS Parent Advisory Council is pleased to invite you to attend a special screening of “Screenagers" on February 8th at 7:00 pm in the gymnasium.
The film explores issues surrounding technology use and the challenges that parents face when navigating this ever-changing reality. It focuses on the impact of the digital age on children and how to help families minimize harmful effects and find balance. The film examines the following topics:
• Social media pressure on teenagers
• Impact of screen time on child development
• Video game addiction
• Video game violence
• Creating balance
This film was identified and previewed by PAC leadership and school administration and will be shown to all students on February 6th and/or 7th. As a school community we are hoping to continue the conversation about this important issue that began last year with the ICE Unit presentation from Constable Gord Olson of the RCMP. Please join us with the knowledge that your child has seen the movie, which will provide a key point of discussion about technology.
The doors will open at 6:30 PM for a 7:00 PM showing, followed by some time to discuss with other parents and families.
