It has been an eventful and stressful week for our whole community. As I am sure you are aware, we have had two positive cases of COVID-19 in the school this week and worked through the contact tracing process with Public Health. They are doing excellent work and have provided great support in keeping our students safe. I also commend the responsible behaviour of our families, who have put others first and acted proactively to limit the potential for spread by isolating at the first hint they may have been exposed. It has made a big difference to many people.Attached to this email you will find a letter from The Western School Division announcing that we are in the process of creating and implementing Temporary Remote Learning for any families who would like to register for it. The programming would remain in place as long as we are in “Restricted Level Orange” and anyone who registers is expected to remain in it for the duration. This action is being taken in response to the recent WSD survey that showed significant interest along with climbing case counts in the province, and a rising absentee rate in the school as people opt to stay home to stay safe.If you would like to register your Child(ren) for Temporary Remote Learning at ÉMMS, please click the link below, review all of the information, and fill out the registration form.
