The 2022-23 school year is nearly upon us and we are getting really excited to have everyone back in the building. Over the summer, WSD staff completed a wide variety of projects in and around the building. The biggest enhancement is in the gym where the floor was completely refinished and looks incredible. We were also able to install more permanent sensory pathway decals throughout the hallways and the final computer lab has been converted into a grade 8 classroom. Students in tech courses that were typically taught in that space will have access to appropriate laptops and a different classroom to work in. The re-planted soccer pitch will open for use at some point this year but we have yet to determine whether we need to wait until spring to ensure it is protected and healthy for the long term. The library has new furniture and will look different than it has in the past as well and Mr. Pauls and Ms. Whitney revamped the ÉMMS sign inside the front doors to freshen things up.. Overall, the school looks great and just needs the addition of 700 smiling students to make it just right. #WeAreBlazers!​
