Grade 5-8 Running Club:
Running Club will begin at 4:00 Wed, May 1st for students who have handed in their Athletic Agreement and Risk Form paperwork to Ms. Jaska, Mr. Edie or Mr. Nicholls. Runners meet by the gymnasium trophy case and wait for the coaches. If you didn't attend the meeting last week and want to join Running Club, see Mr. Nicholls for paperwork.
Students using the Skatepark/Basketball court - Please help keep the area clean by placing your trash in the provided garbage cans.
CHESS TOURNAMENT
This is the last week for chess club! The championship game of the chess tournament will take place on Friday. If you have attended chess club this year, then feel free to come watch.
MYRCA will meet in the Library on Fridays at 12:25pm.
STUDENT COUNCIL
There will be a Student Council meeting on Friday at 12:25 in Ms. Chewings' classroom.
Pay it Forward
The Student Council is starting “Pay it Forward May" early! 5 Wiens, 6 Neufeld, 7 Chewings, and 8 Rowley will begin for each grade. When your class receives a “Pay it Forward", homeroom teachers need to check with the Student Council teacher in your grade to see who they can Pay it Forward to within the same grade. This will ensure that all classes receive an act of kindness before the end of the school year!
ÉMMS has Talent
The Student Council wants to put on a talent show for each grade. Before we plan the details, we want to see how much interest there is in this event. You can enter as an individual, pair, or group. If you are interested and would like to sign up, please see the Student Council teacher in your grade: Gr. 5-Mrs. Wiens, Gr. 6.-Ms. Neufeld, Gr. 7-Ms. Chewings, Gr. 8-Mrs. Rowley.

There will be extra Grade 7/8 track practice THURSDAY, May 2 from 4:00-5:00pm after school for anyone who is interested!
Badminton Skills Club
Group A practice on Wednesday 4:15-5:30 p.m.
Carman Badminton Tournament on Thursday, May 2.
All members participating in the tournament are asked to be dismissed at 3:05 p.m. Participants are to get changed and line up by the front doors. Bring water, snacks, and appropriate footwear. Departure for Carman is at 3:15 p.m.
