Students only need to bring “Basic Supplies" and any additional supplies below specific to courses indicated on their timetables for semester one. They can bring these supplies on their orientation to place in their lockers. Grade 9 orientation time and date is located on MCI's Calendar​.

• Dictionary and Thesaurus
• 1 pkg binder dividers
• 400 sheets of loose-leaf / coil lined notebooks (200 pgs/class)
• Graph paper
• Good supply of pens and pencils
• Pencil sharpener
• Pencil crayons
• Ruler
•  Highlighters
• Scientific calculator (example: Casio fx-991MS)
• Gym clothes: shorts/sweatpants/leggings, t-shirt, runners with non-marking soles, *deodorant (Students must change for their Phys-Ed class)

*Morden Collegiate is a scent-aware school. Please refrain from using cologne, perfume, or body sprays at school.

Band

• Instrument Rental Fee: $150.00/year (instruments available include tuba, euphonium, baritone saxophone, French horn, bass clarinet, bassoon, oboe; limited flutes, clarinets, trumpets, alto/tenor saxophones)
• Percussion User Fee: $40.00/year
• ·Supplies: Brass—valve oil, slide grease; Woodwinds—reeds, reed guard, swab, cork grease, neck strap, cleaning cloth, cleaning rod
• ·Financial assistance is available (payment plans, fee reductions, waivers). Please contact the band director.

Food & Nutrition

• Students will receive a supply list in class

Textile, Art & Design

• Students will also purchase fabric/supplies for a hoodie sewing project (amount depends on size, discussed in class)
