Traditionally graduates meet in their suits and gowns at the research station for informal pictures at approximately 11 AM. This is weather permitting, optional event.
Group photo
All graduates are asked to attend the group photo session, whether they are purchasing the photo or not. The photo is included in the yearbook and will be displayed in the school. Purchase price will be $20
Ceremonies
Graduation ceremonies are open to the public. Rows of chairs are reserved for parents and escorts. New for this year, each graduate will receive 3 red preferential seating tickets in their invitation. These will allow access to the main seating area on the floor. All others will go to the side bleacher areas. This format will do two things, ensure that immediate family have the best seats in the house as well as make sure that parents do not have to stand in line to get a seat.
Banquet
The banquet is not open to the public. Each grad is allowed to purchase a maximum of 3 tickets, (i.e. 1 escort and 2 parents/guardians). To avoid confusion and disappointment and to keep everything fair for all graduates, extra tickets will not be available at this time. An exception to this is cases where families have step parents. Then each parent would be automatically given a ticket for their significant other to purchase. (Mom and partner, dad and partner, and escort would make this student eligible for 5 tickets instead of the three. If we have extra seats available, then we will make an announcement at a later date.
Dance Reception
The dance is open to graduates, escorts and parents/guardians.

Individual Pictures:

Morden Collegiate
Monday, February 27th – Wednesday, February 29th, 2012
The Yearbook committee organizes individual cap and gown photos. A letter will be given to each grad explaining the process. A professional photographer is hired to take individual photos of the students in cap and gown. The sitting fee is paid for by the Grad Committee and each student is asked to have their picture taken even if they are purchasing photos elsewhere. This will provide the school with a yearbook and a digital photo to be used for the Ceremony. The student also receives the proofs and may purchase a package if interested.
